Voyageur National Park Trail Conditions

Voyageur National Park Trail Conditions

January 17, 2023 News -- KSDM-KGHS 0

Voyageurs maintenance crews have been busy checking for adequate ice on snowmobile trails. Trails will be staked once the minimum amount of ice has been measured, and the trails are safe for use. Progress has been made in opening portages and both the Gold portage and Sullivan portage are now groomed and ready. Overall, the lake trails are very rough. Snow drifts and stretches of frozen slush ruts can be dangerous. Use caution and slow down where appropriate. Remember, ice is never 100% safe so pay attention to signage and be aware of your surroundings.
