Wake The Lakes “Moron Lawbreaker for the Week”: Florida Man Is Not Very Sharp

If you’re pulled over by police and you respond by pulling out a three-foot sword, you’re about to have a bad day.

Cops in Tampa saw 34-year-old Randy Austerman in his car blocking a bike lane and approached him. He was sitting in his fully-reclined driver’s seat and as officers got close, he reached into the center console and pulled out a three-foot metal sword. And as he attached a dragon-shaped handle to the blade, cops backed off for their safety. Austerman waved the sword out the window and officers tried to Tase him, but they couldn’t get a good shot. Luckily, Austerman tried to flee through the passenger side door and somehow became incapacitated. Cops jumped on him and placed him under arrest. A search of his car turned up methamphetamine, marijuana, and a glass pipe. He was charged with resisting an officer, possession of a controlled substance, marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and false ID given to a law enforcement. (WFLA-TV)
