(Garrison, MN) — The recent spread of Avian Influenza among wild bird populations has raised a few brows and information on the subject that is a little difficult to comprehend beyond those that follow birds closely.
We spoke with Wild & Free Animal Rehabilitation’s Ashley King, on behalf of the Garrison Animal Hospital, on the similarities of Avian Influenza and COVID-19.
Symptoms can exhibit such actions as not eating or drinking and overall change in demeanor.
Spread of Avian Influenza can occur with the spread of bodily functions in birds.
King also noted that humans getting Avian Influenza is still quite low.
Wild & Free Animal Rehabilitation is still accepting injured or displaced birds currently. Hear our full conversation with Ashley King by going to the Wake The Lakes page at www.rjbroadcasting.com.
