With school/sports fast approaching, parents encouraged to get appointments scheduled 

School is still over a month away, but it’s never too early to start getting your child’s appointments and exams scheduled, before clinics start to get backed up. Kelsey Merkens of Norman Mahnomen Public Health says that one appointment some kids will have to complete is a sports physical. 

Merkens says some children, and teens will also need to get vaccines and immunizations before school, and she says to get those scheduled as soon as possible as well. 

These immunizations, and vaccines  will depend on your child’s age, and Merkens highlights some of the immunizations that children may need to get before they can start school.
