Aitkin County Health and Human Services meets with Board of Commissioners at July 26th meeting

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Health and Human Services Department presented their 2nd Quarter Fiscal Report and Director Cynthia Bennett gave her update to the Board of Commissioners Tuesday, July 26th from the Aitkin County Government Center Board Room.

HHS Fiscal Supervisor Carli Goble noted their expenditures have gone down in 2022 compared to the same period last year.

Goble spoke about the higher forecasted spending in their budget at the midway point of 2022.

HHS Director Cynthia Bennett spoke to Commissioners on personnel needs and changes.

Bennett also laid out the HHS modernization plan, taking place at the State level.

The HHS Building has gone through some updates internally but did struggle with hot summer weather when the air conditioning went out.

Health and Human Services will meet with the Aitkin County Board of Commissioners on August 23rd at 9am from the Government Center Board Room.
