Santa Day & 25 Cent Store this Saturday in Hendrum
Hendrum, MN — Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hendrum will be hosting their annual 25 Cent Store this Saturday, December 10th. Youth will get an opportunity to do some shopping for someone special from 9am until 10am and then the store opens up for all shoppers at 10am. Becky Harrington of Immanuel Lutheran says the idea is to give youth the opportunity to experience the joys of giving.
Harrington says over the years there have been numerous stories and heartwarming affirmations that give the church the motivation they need to continue to offer the 25 cent store each Christmas.
The 25-cent store will have a wide variety of items to shop for, all of which are only a quarter, so kids should be able to find something special whether it’s for mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, or a sibling or friend.
Proceeds from the 25 Cent store go back towards the Halstad Lutheran Giving Tree. The store is stocked by the community’s generous donations of new items and Thrivent Action Team funds.
Also following the 25-cent store and Immanuel Lutheran, Santa will be making his stop at the Hendrum Fire Hall from 11am until Noon. Along with coffee, cider, and cookies, there will be gift giveaways for kids, turkey giveaways for adults. Santa will also have some gift bags for the children and the Immanuel WELCA will be hosting a bake sale as well.
