Ada-Borup-West School Board Approves E-Sports Contract with Fenworks
Ada, MN — The Ada-Borup-West School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday morning, October 11th. At the meeting, the board approved a contract with Fenworks to launch an E-sports program this year. Ada-Borup-West Superintendent Aaron Cook says it’s a fast growing activity and there was a lot of interest locally in getting it going.
Grand Forks based Fenworks will actually run the program, according to Cook, by providing coaching and facilitating the competitions, most of which will occur in the students’ homes.
Superintendent Cook adds that just like all other high school activities, students will have responsibilities such as maintaining grades and showing good sportsmanship.
The Ada-Borup-West E-Sports program will officially get underway this winter.
