Ada, MN — The Minnesota Wheat Growers Association and the Minnesota Farm Bureau are revamping an old program under a new name aimed at increasing leadership and advocacy skills at a state and national level. The Ag Leadership Network is based on the former Ag Peer Group of the Red River Valley. Whitney Pittman, Membership and Marketing Specialist for the Minnesota Farm Bureau, says their goal is to get young farmers and ranchers involved a more localized leadership development program.

Participants will be selected based on their current involvement in agriculture and priority will be given to those emerging leaders who are actively engaged in farming and ranching.

There are some fees associated with the program, but they include meals, airfare, hotels, and training as provided. Learn more about the program at mnwheat.org or contact Whitney Pittman at whitney.pittman@fbmn.org or call 218-556-4480.
