(Aitkin, MN) — Contracts are set to be awarded and a decision on the Zoning Ordinance Amendment will be part of the Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meeting Tuesday, March 22nd at 9am from the Government Center Board Room.

Following the Health and Human Services meeting starting at 9am, The Board will review and look to approve Fire Protection Contracts, County Administrator Performance Evaluation Summary, Appointment of Land Commissioner, Engineering Services Agreement, and a donation from Wealthwood Township for the Aitkin County Search and Rescue Group.

County Engineer John Welle will be on hand to award a pair of contracts for work and present a Equipment Purchase Request to Commissioners.

Environmental Services Director Andrew Carlstrom will be seeking a request of referral to the Planning Commission and adoption of a resolution for the Zoning Ordinance Amendment for the Solid Waste Transfer Station on behalf of Nisswa Disposal.

County Auditor Kirk Peysar will be on hand to present an application to license to sell tobacco products for Fisherman’s Bay and discuss more on the redistricting of Commissioner Districts.

Following Administrator updates from Jessica Seibert and Committee updates, the Board will close the meeting for Labor Negotiations. 

The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meets at 9am Tuesday, March 22nd from the Government Center Board Room.
