(Brainerd, MN) — Opening today (May 27th) at the Crossing Arts Alliance in downtown Brainerd, will be the Diana Cherrywood Challenge Quilt Exhibition to showcase unique pieces of artwork using a limited color palette.
Every year, Cherrywood Hand Dyed Fabrics challenges artists to create artwork using simple rules and are encouraged to design an original fiber art piece. Taking inspiration from the late Diana, Princess of Wales, the art creates a wholly quilt using only the colors pink and white.
Three traveling exhibits were chosen and include 2000 pieces with the cohesive colors, size, theme, and texture of Cherrywood that make the exhibit one of a kind. The exhibit hosted by Crossing Arts will be the Diana Rose Collection and will run through June 4th.For more information, contact the Crossing Arts Alliance by calling 218-833-0416, email, or visit the downtown Brainerd gallery at 711 Laurel Street Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm and Saturday 10am-4pm.
