Farm Bill Discussions Highlight Minnesota FarmFest
Redwood County, MN — Minnesota Farm Fest, which features three days of ag exhibitors, demonstrations, and forums and conversations about ag issues, wraps up today in Redwood County. A big part of the conversation during the farm forums has been the Farm Bill, which will be up for debate in the next legislative session. Rob Larew, President of the National Farmers Union, talks about the priorities for farmers coming into the new farm bill.
As a Dairy Farmer in Wright County, Minnesota Farm Bureau President Dan Glessing, shares his thoughts on what should be included in the farm bill to protect dairy farmers.
Glessing also noted that its highly unlikely to see new money in the next farm bill, so they will need to make the most out of what they have.
