Hillsboro Beautification Eyes Mural Project & Railway Park Improvements
Hillsboro, ND — The Hillsboro Beautification is eyeing up two projects to add some life into downtown Hillsboro. At their commission meeting last week discussed a plan repurpose a railcar in railway park and paint a mural on the south wall of the Main Street Community Center. Hillsboro Commission President Terry Sando says they want to make sure all the maintenance needs of the proposed projects can be met before moving forward.
The Hillsboro Beautification Committee will be hosting a contest to determine what the mural on the Main Street Community Center will look like and will be taking submissions soon. The individual with the winning design will receive a cash prize of $500. Four finalists will be announced after May 15th and then the public will vote on the final design, which will be selected in June.
