Livestock Prices Holding Strong
We’ve been hearing a lot lately about how the grain futures and cash prices have been fluctuating because of world events and weather events across the country but how have livestock markets been reacting to these same events and the grains? Billy Bushelle owner and manager of Bagley Livestock Exchange explained the situation on the new Q-Country Crops & Livestock Program.
Bushelle says you can’t rule drought out even though Minnesota is not in a drought but further west is remains an issue and that’s what drives the feeder market and the cull market.
As for the sheep and goat market, the pandemic changed that market for the better and Bushelle says there is money to be made.
