More good news to report with the receding floodwaters from Voyageur National Park

Lake levels in the Namakan Basin have dropped enough to allow the reopening of 11 more campsites on Kabetogama, Namakan, and Sand Point Lakes, as well as the Backcountry Cruiser Lake Trail System, beginning Saturday, July 2.

All Houseboats sites remain open.

Backcountry trails, campsites, and canoes associated with the Chain of Lakes that are accessible via the Locator Lake Trail (Locator, War Club, Quill, and Loiten campsites) will remain closed at this time.

All other closures remain in place through July 8 and may be extended.
