Brody Carlsrud led the first lap before allowing Todd Heinrich to sneak by, but a lap later Heinrich got loose and dropped back a handful of position, handing the lead back to Carlsrud. Rick Schulz kept pressure on the recent Moorhead Spud graduate for the remainder of the race and even pulled up alongside on the final lap, but Carlsrud held on to pick up his first career Stock Car feature win.
