Prioritize Sun Safety this holiday weekend 

Independence Day is fast approaching, and many will be celebrating outside in the sun. Kelsey Merkens of Norman Mahnomen Public Health reminds people to make sure they prioritize sun safety over the holiday weekend. 

While sunburn can be painful in the short term, Merkens says unprotected exposure to the sun can also have some long lasting effects on your health.
