Sump Pump & Yard Clean-Up Reminders from Ada Public Works
Ada, MN — The City of Ada Public Works Department is reminding residents that as of April 1st, all sump pumps must be redirected to discharge water from the building to the lawn or towards the streets. Homeowners are allowed to discharge into the sanitary sewer system during winter months to prevent freezing, but now that spring is here, Ada Public Works Director Brian Rasmussen says they must be discharged outside to avoid putting added stress on lift stations and the sewer system.
And for those beginning spring clean up and spring yard work, Rasmussen reminds residents that the compost site is open for leaves and brush, but they do also have a metal bin on the site as well.
