Twin Valley City Council News & Notes from December 12th Meeting
Twin Valley, MN — The Twin Valley City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, December 12th at the Twin Valley Community Center. As part of that they also held their Truth-in Taxation Public Hearing and approved setting their final levy at an increase of 9% over last year. Twin Valley Mayor Ben Fall says while they are expecting a few capital purchases, a big portion of the increase is for employee wage increases.
Also during last week’s special meeting, the city council gave Public Works the go-ahead to purchase a 2022 Ford F-150 pickup for their main vehicle. Mayor Fall says their old one was in desperate need of replacement.
And at the meeting Monday night, Mayor Fall says the council discussed some signage for their parks and properties.
In other news from this week’s meeting, the council approved the end the year investments and financials, approved posting for an Assistant Manager at the Twin Valley Liquor Store, and approved 2023 business permits.
