Ulen-Hitterdal School Board to Host Public Information Meetings about Proposed Childcare Facility
Ulen, MN — The Ulen-Hitterdal School Board is continuing forward with discussions on building a new year-round childcare facility, but in the meantime will be offering a school-aged childcare during the summer months. Ulen-Hitterdal Interim Superintendent Todd Cameron says they are currently looking to hire a director to oversee that program this year.
The district hopes that their summer childcare will be a preview of their year-round daycare if voters approve constructing an on-site daycare facility. Cameron says the school will be hosting two public meetings next week to provide more information on the proposed project.
Cameron also noted they just paid off their final bond payment for the 2002 building addition and because of that if voters were to approve the childcare facility, they would likely see no change or even a reduction to their taxes.
The Ulen-Hitterdal Childcare Facility meetings will be held on Monday, March 28th and Thursday, March 31th at 7pm at the school.
