Aitkin School Baord held Organizational, Regular meeting on January 9th

The Aitkin School Board held their first meeting of 2023 on Monday. Part of it was used as the Organizational Meeting. 

The Officer Elections included:Chair – Dawn HouserVice Chair – Roland Hill; 

Clerk – Jen Burgos; Treasurer – Holly Midrum

Meetings will take place the 3rd Monday of each month. 

The Board approved yearly renewals of the school attorney, the official school district newspaper, Committee assignments, and board member salaries.

During the regular meeting of the Aitkin School Board on Monday, Student Council representative  Martin Henke presented concerns on the upkeep of the School’s Auditorium.

Cindi Hills was approved to fill the board seat vacated by Joe Ryan. A special election will be held May 9th.

The Board approved the updates to the fire alarm/evacuation system for a total of $98,810 from Holden Electric. 

The Aitkin School Board will hold their next regular meeting on February 13th at 6:30pm.
